What You Need:            (To Serve: 2 - 4)

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 onion, spiked with cloves
  • 1¼ oz fresh butter
  • 1½ oz flour
  • Bay leaves
  • 2½ cups meat stock
  • A little lemon juice

  • How To Cook:
    1. Hard-boil the eggs and keep warm.

    2. Heat the butter, stir in and brown the flour, dilute with stock and add the onion and bay leaves, then cook for at least 10 minutes.

    3. Add the lemon juice and the halved eggs.
