How To Cook: |

1. Line a plate with shortcrust pastry.
|
2. Cut some large ripe plums into four; stone them and arrange these "fingers" of plum in overlapping circles on the pastry, beginning in the center and working outwards.

3. Sprinkle with sugar and put a few pieces of butter on the top.
|
4. Bake in a moderately hot oven (400°F), for 35 - 40 minutes, until pastry and plums are cooked.

NOTE:

A 'Plan de Pommes' is made in the same way; cut the apples into fairly thick slices.
