This salad takes its name from a Russian general who fought in the Napoleonic Wars. It's a good salad for a summer weekend luncheon.

1¼ cups mayonnaise
1/3 cup tomato sauce
Salt, pepper to taste
3 cups diced cold, cooked chicken
1 cup diced celery
6 cold, cooked artichoke hearts, sliced
½ cup diced cooked ham
1 cup cold, cooked elbow macaroni
2 hard-cooked eggs, shelled and chopped
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1. Combine mayonnaise, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
|
2. Refrigerate 1 hour to blend flavors.
|
3. When ready to serve, combine chicken, celery, artichoke hearts, ham, and macaroni in a bowl.

4. Add mayonnaise mixture and spoon onto a serving dish, shaping into a mound.
|
5. Decorate with chopped eggs and parsley.
