What You Need:

½ pound fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
½ pound fresh green beans, stemmed and cut up
½ pound fresh broccoli, cut up
1 large onion, peeled and sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/3 cup peanut or salad oil
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon ground red pepper
Salt, pepper to taste
Juice of 1 large lime or lemon

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Wash und dry mushrooms, green beans, and broccoli.
|
2. Saute onion and garlic in oil in a medium skillet until tender.
|
3. Add turmeric, cumin, red pepper, salt, and pepper; cool 1 minute.
|
4. Add vegetables and cook slowly, covered, until just tender and preferably a little crisp, about 10 minutes.
|
5. Remove from heat; cool.
|
6. Add lime or lemon juice and mix well.
|
