Swedish cooks are very fond of adding aromatic dill, either fresh or dried, or tiny pungent dill seeds, to a number of their dishes. A member of the parsley family, dill imparts a marvelous flavor to salads. Serve with seafood or poultry.

What You Need:
(To Serve: 4 - 6)

1 pound fresh green beans, washed, stemmed, and cut into 1-inch pieces
Salt
3 medium-sized tomatoes, peeled and sliced
½ cup sliced scallions, with some tops
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Salt, pepper to taste

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Cook green beans in a little salted boiling water until just tender, about 15 minutes.
|
2. Drain and cool.
|
3. Place beans, tomatoes, and scallions in a bowl or serving dish.
|
4. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon over vegetables.
|
5. Toss lightly. Serve at once.
