½ cup mayonnaise or ¼ cup mayonnaise and ¼ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon sugar
Salt, pepper to taste

1. Combine ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate, covered, at least 2 hours.

Add 1 tablespoon grated onion, ½ teaspoon celery seed, and/or 1/3 cup minced green pepper, if desired.
