What You Need:

  • 1 pound almonds
  • 1 pound sugar
  • A few drops essence
  • 5 grains cardamom

  • How To Cook:
    1. If fresh almonds are used, blanch them and dry preferably in the sun for one day. Pound them well.

    2. Prepare syrup with the sugar and water and cardamom.

    3. Cook it till it becomes thick and sticky, and then add the ground almonds.

    4. Pour into a greased tray, spread about ½ inch thick.

    5. When cold cut in pieces.
