What You Need:

2 ladles tongue, cut into pieces
2 ladles fat beef
1 teaspoon powdered black pepper
1 tablespoon powdered ginger
1 tablespoon salt
3 tablespoons red pepper
½ ladle chopped red onions
1 sheep's intestine, cleaned and washed
½ ladle butter

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Chop the raw tongue and meat into very small pieces and mix with the black pepper, ginger, salt, red pepper and onions.
|
2. Tie one end of the intestine with thread and fill with the meat mixture.
|
3. Cut it into 6-8 inch lengths and tie both ends of each piece with thread.
|
4. Heat the butter in a frying pan and cook the stuffed pieces over a low heat for a long time.

NOTE:
|
A "ladle" equals 10 tablespoons; 1 tablespoon equals 3 teaspoons in the Ethiopian kitchen.
