What You Need:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • Deep fat for frying

  • How To Cook:
    1. Sieved together the flour and baking powder and add the sugar and coconut.

    2. Add the butter and mix thoroughly with a fork.

    3. Add the egg yolks and coconut milk and mix all together.

    4. Turn on to a floured board and toss lightly until the dough looks smooth.

    5. Roll out ½ inch thick, cut into strips measuring about 2 by 1 inch and fry in deep fat until golden-brown.
