How To Cook: |

1. Cut the pears in half lengthwise, remove the core and place cut side up in a casserole.

2. Fill the centers with the orange juice.
|
3. Drizzle with maple syrup and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 20 minutes, or until the pears are tender, when tested with the point of a knife.

VARIATION:
|
1. Omit the orange juice and bake the pears in enough maple syrup to cover.
|
2. Add a sprinkling of ginger.
