What You Need:

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup single cream
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • How To Cook:
    1. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan with the exception of the nuts.

    2. Stir over the heat until the sugar is dissolved.

    3. Boil gently without stirring to the soft ball stage or 238°F on the candy thermometer.

    4. Cool to lukewarm and beat until the color changes and the candy begins to set.

    5. Stir in the chopped nuts and turn into a buttered pan.

    6. When firm, mark into squares.
