1¾ pound sugar
A little vanilla essence

How To Cook: |

1. Mix milk, sugar and vanilla essence, then simmer over a very low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
|
2. After about an hour the mixture should have the consistency of cream or thick pea soup.
|
3. It may be eaten as a sweet or spread on bread.
