What You Need:            (To Serve: 2 - 4)

  • 1 beaten egg
  • Fat for deep frying
  • 2 pound potatoes
  • 4 oz breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water.

    2. Mash the potatoes thoroughly and stir in the breadcrumbs and seasonings.

    3. Bind with the beaten egg.

    4. Shape the mixture into nut-sized pieces.

    5. Egg and breadcrumb the balls, and deep-fry until they are a golden-brown color.

    6. Drain on absorbent paper before serving.
