How To Cook: |

1. Make enough flaky pastry for a 9-inch pie. Line a 9-inch baking dish with flaky pastry.

2. Fill it ¾ full with maple sugar.
|
3. Sprinkle 2 oz. of sifted flour over this.
|
4. Moisten the sugar and flour with fresh cream.
|
5. Do not add too much cream or the sugar will become soggy.
|
6. Add some blanched and chopped walnuts and a chunk of butter,
|
7. Cover with a lattice-work of flaky pastry.
|
8. Bake in a hot oven (450°F) until the pastry is a light golden color.
