1 pound onions
8 oz grated cheese
2 pound potatoes
Pepper
1 tablespoon dripping
Salt

How To Cook: |

1. Peel the vegetables, cut them into very thin slices and remove the moisture by wrapping them in a cloth.
|
2. Heat the dripping in a heavy frying pan and put in a layer of potato, a layer of grated cheese, a layer of onions and so on, seasoning each layer with pepper and salt.

3. Fry gently until nearly cooked, then brown under the grill.
