What You Need:

1 rosy apple or 6 crab apples
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon or ginger
3 pints beer
Peel of ½ a lemon
½ pint sherry
4 oz brown sugar
¼ teaspoon nutmeg

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Cook the apples in the oven or slice and stew.
|
2. Heat together all the ingredients, cutting the lemon rind into strips; add more sugar if liked.
|
3. When boiling-point is reached, pour the mixture over the apples in a punch bowl.
|
4. Serve at once.
