12 oz sieved whole meal flour
A pinch of ground cinnamon
9 oz sugar
A pinch of ground cloves
4 oz walnuts or almonds, blanched and ground
9 oz butter
Vanilla-flavored icing sugar
1½ oz cocoa

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Mix the flour, sugar, ground nuts, cocoa and spices and rub in the butter.
|
2. Knead the dough and shape into-a roll, cut off slices and press into small greased patty tins.
|
3. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until firm and lightly browned; while still hot, dip into vanilla-flavored icing sugar.
