1 chopped onion
1 red cabbage
Juice of lemon
2 tablespoons syrup
¼ pint red wine
2 peeled and sliced apples

1. Melt the butter in a pan and add the shredded cabbage and the syrup; brown over a low flame, stirring constantly.
|
2. Add the remaining ingredients, cover the pan and simmer gently for 1½ - 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
|
3. Season to taste.
|
