	| 1 pound boiled or mashed yellow swedes (turnips)
		1 teaspoon salt
		Pepper
		3 oz butter
		1 cup soft breadcrumbs
		2 large tablespoons golden syrup
		2 eggs, beaten |  |

											| How To Cook: |

											|  |  | 1. Mix the swedes with most of the butter, the syrup, salt, pepper, three-quarters of the breadcrumbs and the eggs and whip the mixture. 
 
 |  | 2. Put into a buttered casserole, sprinkle with the remaining breadcrumbs and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 20-25 minutes, until the top is brown. 
 
 |  | 3. Dot with a little butter before browning. 
 
 |  | 4. This is delicious served with roast pork or cold ham.
