What You Need:

  • ½ pound butter
  • 1½ pound flour
  • ½ pound sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Vanilla cream

  • How To Cook:
    1. Rub butter into flour and add sugar and egg yolks; work well together.

    2. Roll out on a floured board 1/8 inch thick.

    3. Stamp out rounds with a wineglass or pastry-cutter and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until light brown.

    4. Spread a little thick vanilla cream on one biscuit of each pair and put the other on top.

    5. Decorate with glace icing and top with a little jam or jelly.
