2 pound beefsteak
Salt and pepper
2 oz dripping
2 onions
2 bay leaves
Grated nutmeg
Water

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Wash and dry beefsteak, flatten it and season with salt and pepper.
|
2. Melt dripping in a saucepan and brown the steak on both sides.
|
3. Add sliced onions, bay leaves, some grated nutmeg and a little water, cover the pan and cook for 1½ hours, adding a little more water occasionally.
|
4. Serve with grilled or baked tomatoes.
