1 pound fat beef
A few haricot beans
¼ of a white cabbage
¼ of a red cabbage
1 small carrot
2 small onions
2 tomatoes
Salt
2 large potatoes
A few peppercorns
1 green pepper
1 small bottle of white wine
1 small parsnip

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Slice the meat and vegetables and lay them in alternate layers in a casserole, lightly salting each layer and adding the peppercorns.
|
2. Pour the white wine over, cover the casserole closely and simmer for at least 2½ hours.
|
3. Do not stir or the vegetables will break up.
|
4. Serve in the casserole.
|
