What You Need:

  • 8 oz butter
  • 8 oz flour
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • 1 egg white
  • A little granulated sugar

  • How To Cook:
    1. Rub the butter into the flour, add the cream and knead lightly.

    2. Let the pastry rest in a cold place for 30 minutes.

    3. Roll out into very thin "sausages," cut into 3 lengths and form into individual rings.

    4. Brush the top of each with egg white and dust with granulated sugar.

    5. Bake on a greased oven sheet for 8-10 minutes in a moderately hot oven (400°F).
