½ cup water
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon salt

1. In large bowl, sprinkle cabbage with salt; let stand for ½ hour.
|
2. In saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, pepper; bring to boil; pour over cabbage.

3. Refrigerate until serving time; drain.
|
4. Serve with pot roast or pork.
