What You Need:

  • 1 cup packaged dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 pound sliced stewed apples, well drained
  • ¾ cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light or dark raisins
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

  • How To Cook:
    1. Combine crumbs, walnuts, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon; use to sprinkle over half of strudel dough nearest you.

    2. Toss apples with lemon rind and raisins; spoon over crumb mixture.

    3. Proceed with rolling up strudel.
