1. Whisk together the egg yolks; sugar and corn flour, then add a little warm milk.
|
2. Boil the remainder of milk with the vanilla pod.
|
3. Gradually add egg and sugar mixture to the boiled milk (removing the pod) and then return to the heat and warm till the mixture cooks and thickens.
|
4. The cream should be thick enough to spread over the cake.
