1 Chicken
2 onions
2 carrots
Parsley and seasoning
1 large cup rice
Sausage

How To Cook: |

|
1. Put chopped onions and carrots in a casserole, add some chopped parsley and seasoning, and the jointed and skinned chicken.
|
2. Braise till the chicken is nicely browned, then remove it and sieve the gravy.
|
3. Add enough water to give about 2 large cupfuls, and add washed rice; when this is cooked, put a layer of rice in a fireproof dish, then the chicken, and cover with the remaining rice.
|
4. Top with sausage (preferably Portuguese paprika sausage), and brown in a moderate oven (350°F).

5. Garnish as desired.
