¾ pound minced chuck or round steak
1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 cup cream and water
¼ pound minced lean pork
1½ teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
¼ teaspoon white pepper
½ teaspoon sugar

How To Cook: |

|
1. Select the meats yourself and have them freshly minced.
|
2. Saute the onion in 1 tablespoon butter until golden brown.
|
3. Soak the crumbs in the liquid, and then add the beef, pork, onion and seasonings and mix thoroughly until smooth.
|
4. Shape into very small balls, using 2 tablespoons dipped in cold water, and fry in hot butter until evenly browned, shaking the pan continuously to make the balls round.
|
5. Serve hot or cold as a Smorgasbord dish.
