What You Need:            (To Serve: 2 - 4)

  • 1 pound "flecked" (noodle pieces)
  • 6 oz butter or margarine
  • Salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 10 oz ham

  • How To Cook:
    1. Three-quarters fill a 3-pint saucepan with water, bring to boiling point and add a pinch of salt, then put in the "flecked."

    2. Allow to boil for 10-15 minutes, and then turn them into a colander to drain, and pour cold water through until cool.

    3. Cut the ham into small squares.

    4. Cream the butter till smooth, add the eggs and a little salt, and mix.

    5. Put in the ham and the "flecked" and mix well.

    6. Transfer the mixture to a baking tin and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for ½ - 1 hour, until the top is light brown.

    7. Serve with green salad.
